Strategy Refresh

After over 20 years working in marketing and fundraising, including many years as Planning Director at the agencies Whitewater and WWAV Rapp Collins and then as Head of Strategy & Consumer Insight at Europe’s biggest fundraising charity Cancer Research UK, I decided towards the end of 2009 that I fancied a new challenge – and my marketing and fundraising consultancy Strategy Refresh was the result.

The name reflects what I do – applying my planning experience in ways that help fundraisers and marketers take a fresh approach to their strategic planning activities (offline and online), so they’re far better equipped to cope with all the complexities today’s consumer world is going to throw at them.

My clients include: Cancer Research UK, Oxfam, Save The Children, The One Foundation, UNICEF Geneva, UNICEF UK, VSO, WaterAid, and WWF UK.

With my technology and data-led marketing background, I’m particularly well known for helping nonprofits develop integrated digital fundraising and communications strategies. However, my work certainly isn’t all online-focused. It could be that you’re looking for support with a strategic review of your overall fundraising portfolio; want to develop more effective supporter journeys; need help to consider fresh approaches to a specific challenge you’re facing; or just want an experienced eye to help review your fundraising performance. From a couple of days to a long-term project, I can bring an unrivaled level of marketing and fundraising knowledge, actionable consumer insight, and fresh strategic thinking to help you achieve your marketing and fundraising objectives.
